Strawberry Key Lime French Toast

Ingredients
- 3/4 Cup Smucker’s® Squeeze™ Strawberry Fruit Spread
- 1/4 Cup Water
- 2 Cups Strawberries (sliced, fresh or frozen)
- 2 2/3 Cups Whole Milk
- 1 Bag Foothill Farms® Key Lime Flavored Cream Dessert Filling Mix – Naturally Flavored
- 4 Eggs
- 8 Pieces Bread
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 2 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- Vegetable Oil
- Powdered Sugar
Instructions
- Whisk ¾ cup Smucker’s® Squeeze™ Strawberry Fruit Spread and water in a bowl until saucy. Add strawberries and stir until strawberries are coated in the sauce. Set aside.
- Pour 2 cups cold milk into the bowl of an electric mixer; add Foothill Farms® Key Lime Flavored Cream Dessert Filling Mix – Naturally Flavored. Using the whisk attachment, mix on low speed for 1 minute. Turn off and scrape sides.
- Continue mixing on high speed for 3 to 4 minutes or until firm. Set aside.
- In a large flat shallow pan, whisk eggs, 2/3 cup milk, vanilla, sugar and cinnamon together.
- Preheat griddle. Coat with vegetable oil.
- Soak bread in egg mixture, turning once, until saturated.
- Place on griddle and fry on each side until golden brown.
- To serve, smear 1 teaspoon Smucker’s® Squeeze™ Strawberry Fruit Spread on 2 slices of French Toast. Place 1 slice on serving plate. Top with ½ cup Foothill Farms® Key Lime Flavored Cream Dessert Filling Mix – Naturally Flavored.
- Place the other slice of French toast on top and press down slightly. Top with additional ½ cup Foothill Farms® Key Lime Flavored Cream Dessert Filling Mix – Naturally Flavored. Portion about ¼ cup reserved strawberries in sauce on top.
- Dust with powdered sugar. Repeat with remaining toast.
