Ranchero Sauce
A thick, soup-like warm sauce of roasted tomatoes, onions and red bell peppers with spices and Foothill Farms® Salsa Seasoning Mix.

Ingredients
- 6.6 lbs Diced Tomatoes, Canned
- 6 cups Water
- 6 cups Onion, Diced
- 1 1/2 cups Red Bell Pepper, Diced
- 2 bags Foothill Farms® Salsa Seasoning Mix
- 1 tbsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup Cilantro, Chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large oven-proof pan, mix together the diced tomatoes, water, onions and peppers.
- Roast uncovered for 20-30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and cool.
- Once cool, puree with an immersion blender or food processor.
- Mix in the Foothill Farms® Salsa Seasoning Mix, cinnamon and cilantro into the tomato puree until combined.
- Cover and let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Stir prior to serving.
